Community Schools' Implementation Plan
 
A community school is a "Whole-Child" school improvement strategy where the local educational agency and school(s) work closely with teachers, students, and families. Community Schools partner with community agencies and local government to align community resources to improve student outcomes. Below you can find the Implementation plans for our 12 community school sites.
 
 Parent Community Meetings
 
Tulare City School District holds Parent Community Meetings during the school year, as indicated on our district calendar. Representatives (school personnel and parents) from each school site come to discuss and share district policies and programs, while providing feedback relating to the programs discussed at each meeting.
 
 
Educational Partner Engagement

Student Activity Resource Flyers

Tulare City School District is frequently contacted with requests from local businesses and non-profit organizations to support student activities through the dissemination of flyers or other literature to students and parents. While we recognize the important partnership of businesses and non-profit organizations in supporting our schools, the district may not be able to grant all of these requests.

In order to protect the educational purpose and limited resources of our schools, Tulare City School District’s governing board has established a policy related to the distribution of materials in schools that requires the Superintendent’s approval of the materials or advertisements prior to distribution (Board Policy 1325 - advertising and promotion).
