Board Member - Irene Henderson

Background:
Irene Henderson is a dedicated parent whose two children attended both the Tulare City School District and the Tulare Joint Union High School District. Her firsthand experience with the education system in Tulare has fueled her passion for ensuring high-quality education for all students in the community.

 

Professional Background:
Irene is a retired school administrator with a wealth of experience in educational leadership. Throughout her career, she has been committed to fostering academic excellence and supporting the professional growth of educators. Her leadership skills and dedication to education have made a lasting impact on the schools and communities she has served.

 

Community Involvement:
Irene is deeply involved in various educational and community organizations. At the Tulare County Office of Education, she serves as the Supervisor for New Teacher and Leadership Development, where she mentors and supports the next generation of educators. Additionally, she works with National University and Western Governors University as a Special Education Intern and Student Teacher Supervisor, helping to shape the careers of aspiring teachers.

 

Irene is also an active member of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society, an organization dedicated to supporting the professional growth of women educators and participating in global initiatives to make a positive difference for children. Her commitment to these organizations reflects her dedication to improving education at both local and broader levels.
