Advancing Educator Development to Improve Student Achievement

The primary focus of the ESS Induction Programs is to structure the teaching and learning environments so each candidate has the opportunity to realize their maximum potential.

We are a highly professional team of educators with a reputation for caring about  administrators, teachers, and students.  We know that in order to have a high quality education system, we must have educators who are well prepared for the challenges of teaching and leading.  We are committed to assisting educators in their professional development and have provided structured support for educators for numerous years.  Candidates in the programs complete all of the necessary requirements for the Professional Clear Credential over the course of two years.  Induction candidates are assigned a mentor/coach who is highly qualified and specially trained to guide them through the development of an Individual Learning/Leadership Plan during the first years in their teaching or administrative role.  Candidates participate in professional development that supports their Individual Learning/Leadership Plan  goals and  Inquiry  focus, as well as activities that address district goals and priorities.  These activities are designed to assist candidates in growing in the California Standards for the Teaching Profession and the California Professional  Standards for Education Leaders.

The TCSD ESS program has received approval from the  California Commission on Teacher Credentialing as a Professional Teacher and Administrator Induction Program.
