Welcome to your child’s first grade year at Mission Valley! We are delighted to have the opportunity to work with your child. This year we will encourage your child to become an independent and responsible learner and citizen. We will give him/her ample opportunities to develop these qualities. Mission Valley is a Character Counts!® school and we will continue to encourage your child to follow the six Pillars of Character: Caring, Fairness, Respect, Trustworthiness, Citizenship, and Responsibility.
